SHARE YOUR LOVE STORY
Myself and Toby have known each other since school. We sat next to each other in A Level Spanish class and that’s where our story began! We’ve been dating since we left school 8 years ago and got engaged 2 years ago.
Toby proposed during a trip to Lake Como, the night before my birthday so it was really special and romantic. We had a dinner on a private balcony, then headed to the stunning lakeside beach, with the stars twinkling above, where he got down on one kneee and popped the big question! He’d concealed the ring in a cereal box in our suit case so I was none the wiser- truly special surprise!
INSPIRATION / STYLE OF YOUR WEDDING
Nodding to Italy where we got engaged, we wanted to bring the Mediterranean sunshine and relaxed vibe to the Cotswolds! We had beautiful olive trees, lemons and oranges running throughout, with pops of peach, coral and pink too - we tried to bring these elements in across all aspects of our day flowing through invitations, bridesmaids dresses, florals and candles. We even had an Italian inspired menu with Arancini to start, Italian inspired tomato chicken and gelato to finish.
We wanted it to be simple , yet impactful with lots of contemporary twists on a traditional wedding. Most importantly we wanted our love to shine through, and have fun!

VENUE DETAILS
We celebrated our wedding at Elmore Court, in the Cotswolds - a gorgeous country estate with a village church a few minutes away were we tied the knot!
Elmore Court is fantastic, it’s such a good balance of modern mixed with classic and the interiors are beautiful. They have beautiful gardens and outside space but the Gillyflower is the best. It’s a purpose built outbuilding with sparklingly ceiling lights, huge windows and a huge dance floor! It’s such a great space to make your own!

FINDING THE DRESS..... WAS IT LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?
It was - once I was convinced to try her on! I’d seen the Luz on Perfect Day Bride’s website, and immediately booked in to try her on. Upon visiting the boutique, the wonderful shop assistant recommended Marcia and thought it would really suit my figure. I wasn’t keen as I was very against the strapless style but loved the lace up the back. As soon as I slipped into her, both myself and mum were in tears and we knew she was the one!
I loved the puff sleeves and the simple neckline. I paired it with a simple pair of my Nana’s drop pearl earrings and a simple veil with a scalloped edge which finished it off beautifully.
I’d been to a few different stores and no other dress collections compare to those that Love Story London create.

HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR DAY
The whole day was unmatched and totally epic.
Seeing all your loved ones in the room together, chatting and getting on really makes my heart happy. But marrying my best friend, Toby , has to be the highlight!
Seeing my vision come together with all flowers and the decor was magical, seeing everyone all glammed up and looking gorgeous too.
We had an incredibly fun band in the evening too, Tux Fizz, who really bought the party! Already trying to find an excuse to have another party to book them again.. and wear my Love Story dress again!!

YOUR WORDS OF WISDOM TO FUTURE BRIDES
Don’t spend too much time worrying about other people! I spent far too long stressing about what the guests would want - it’s your one day to be selfish and put you and your partner first! Everyone is there to celebrate you both.
