Real Life Bride Antonia wears Love Story London Jett Gown

It might seem counterintuitive that two English people had to travel 10,508 miles (16,912 km) just to meet each other but that’s the serendipity of our story. We first crossed paths in a pub in Melbourne, Australia, bonding over our shared countryside childhoods, filled with animals and muddy wellies.

In the past seven years, we’ve packed in a lifetime of adventures. From the very beginning, we’ve been a couple on the move. Early on, Paddy was offered a work opportunity in New York City, and we thought, why not throw our brand-new relationship into the deep end of one of the world’s busiest cities? Luckily, we had the best time exploring New York, and our relationship flourished. Since then we well and truely have settled back in Melbourne.

Our wedding took place at Lindenderry Red Hill, a charming winery and boutique hotel in Australia. We often escape to this region for weekend getaways, so we couldn’t wait to share our favourite spots with our UK crew.

I’m so grateful for Gemma at Ivory Thread Bridal—she stocks a stunning selection of wedding designers from around the world. This was the second bridal boutique I visited with my maid of honour, Bea. (The first was a complete letdown, and I was starting to worry I’d never find a dress I truly loved.)
Then I found Jett. I instantly fell in love with the sleeves and silky fabric. It felt cool and modern yet still timeless. My only concern? We were getting married in the middle of the Australian summer. Thankfully, Gemma worked with Love Story to customise the sleeves so they could be detachable if needed. (Luckily, we had a perfect 24-degree day!) But I definitely loved having my arms free later on the dance floor!

Can I say the whole day?! But if I had to pick a few key moments:
Having all our loved ones from the UK and Australia together. We’ve never felt so much love and support in one place.
Our ceremony was pure fun, so personal and so us.
The 8-piece band was absolutely epic! We even had to ask our guests to sit back down to eat their mains.
And, of course, upgrading my best friend to husband.

Relax and don't overcomplicate it, there is no good in getting stressed.
The only thing that matters is marrying your absolute favourite human.
